Lembaga Penelitian Serumpun didirikan untuk menginisiasi kajian tentang keterkaitan antarmasyarakat di kawasan Nusantara, meliputi Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, Singapura, dan Filipina, dengan fokus pada kearifan lokal. Dengan menggalakkan penelitian tentang topik-topik tersebut, lembaga ini bertujuan untuk mengangkat nilai-nilai lokal ke permukaan dan memperkenalkannya kepada masyarakat di seluruh dunia. Inisiatif ini akan menyoroti keindahan kearifan lokal Nusantara, khususnya dalam hal keterkaitan dan nilai-nilai bersama. Melalui kegiatan penelitian, diskusi, dan publikasi, pusat penelitian ini akan menarik perhatian para akademisi global terhadap kekayaan budaya kawasan Nusantara. Platform jurnal ini merupakan salah satu cara kami untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut.
